Guangzhou International Economic and Trade Law Office, one of the earliest law firms in Guangzhou, was established in 1985. Guangzhou China Legal Consultancy Center, the former Guangzhou branch of China Legal Consultancy Center (a legal institute of Law Society of P.R. China), was established in 1998, and subject to the administration of the General Office of People's Government of Guangzhou.
